Located in the Southeast part of Nebraska. The County seat, Wilber, is located in the eastern part of Saline County.

Fishing and Recreation Information

Saline County has numerous NRD dams and structures built in the Swan Creek Watershed in the Southern part of the County courtesy area landowners and the work of the Lower Big Blue NRD. Two structures are designated as public use.

The following is some specific information on these lakes:

Swan Creek Watershed Dam 2a WMA

Location: Saline County, 14W, 3N of Wilber

Size: 16 Acres

Fish Species:

• Bluegill
• Bullhead
• Channel Catfish
• Crappie
• Largemouth Bass

Remarks: Power boats limited to 5 mph

Willard L. Meyer Recreation Area (Swan Lake)

Location: Saline County, 3E, 2N of Tobias or 5 miles west & 2 miles north of Hwy 15 & 74 Jct

Playground, Swimming Area, Camping

Size: 95 Acres

Fish Species:

• Bluegill
• Channel Catfish
• Largemouth Bass

Remarks: Area development planned in next few years, Lower Big Blue NRD
